DRD Life Coach

E-Book

Hello, I’m Denise Willcott. I’m a certified Dream Builder Coach with the Brave Thinking Institute.

Welcome to “The Power of Vision: 3 Keys to Mastering Your Results.” I’m so happy and grateful

to spend this time bringing you this powerful message. Let’s start with an empowering story.

1.1 POINT: FAMILY DETERMINATION

Here’s a brief account of a son giving his mother a Pittsburg State College ‘Certificate of

Appreciation’:

“Be it known during my study, through personal sacrifice, selflessness, and without material

reward, bestowed the support and understanding without which my graduation would not have

been possible. This certificate is hereby conferred to honor and recognize the confidence,

devotion, guidance, and assistance freely given in helping me obtain this important milestone in

my life.” presented by Graig Robinson at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS. This is my

son.

In 1990, my sister Debbie graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Leavenworth, KS. Prior to

that, in 1988, I was able to graduate from Southwestern College in Winfield, KS. Both of us were

determined to break the glass ceiling.

Our family journeyed from humble educational beginnings to exploring paths like trade school,

real estate and insurance sales, further studies, and participation in sports as coach and umpire.

By reflecting on our experiences and the keys to success, we’ve discovered ways to use these

insights to enhance areas of our lives.

I share this story to make a point. A “Language of Success” is a language of creating results.

Once we consciously understand this language, we can apply it to every area of our life that we want to improve.

1.2 OPPORTUNITY: FAMILY PROGRESS

A family’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of hard work and dedication.

Beginning with modest educational backgrounds, we steadily advanced by embracing

opportunities in trade schools, real estate, and insurance sales. This commitment to growth

extended into higher education, as well as active participation in sports.

Family Progress and Principles of Success are real-life transitional stories—both personal and

professional—that explore history, impact, and growth.

I want to share power tools for improving your results. By the time you leave here, you will have:

• Three tools to help you achieve your goals

• Greater clarity on your goals and dreams

• More confidence in your ability to achieve those goals and dreams.

1.3 THE CHALLENGE: FAMILY LIFE

We’ll look at social support, talents and skills, and leisure time through real-life stories that

highlight history, impact, and growth. My aim is to provide these practical tools to help you gain

clarity, boost confidence, and achieve your goals.

Power Tool #1—Longings and Discontent: Designing your Dream!

Fundamental lessons I learned:

• How to say “no” and accept “no”

• How to focus and not be a people pleaser

• How to embrace creativity and innovation

• How to face the fear of technology and

confidentiality

Signature Stories: “Overcoming the most Common Limited Paradigms”

In 2024, “Good News!” I was able to snap out of it. Now, I’m dedicating time to traveling to the

“House of Graig” … Yes, my son’s family in Texas. When I travel, my grandson, son and

daughter-in-law all remind me that people drive power. For this grandmother, grand dog,

grandson, and sports will fix everything.

Another breakthrough I made was in 2025, when I was to broaden the aim of celebrating

birthdays together with creative resources to challenge four events and create the opportunity to

share and experience family stories or not.

It is possible to let go of the secrets without distractions.

There is a family legacy of home life, transportation, travel, insurance, real estate, financial,

vocational and educational. I’m sharing this to show that growth comes from embracing

challenges, accountability, and understanding the language of success.

By learning to shape our outcomes and applying these lessons, we can improve any area of our

lives.

“Notice What You Are Noticing:” The Designing your Dream power tool has helped

thousands worldwide lead meaningful lives despite adversity, offering a proven and reliable

method to achieve love, joy, and abundance.

We’ll focus on changing thinking patterns to change behavior patterns and listening to the heart.

Here, we’ll deal with thinking: the behaviors we can see. I will suggest listening to hear what

God of your understanding is asking you to do. Otherwise, our actions and reactions will not

change.

There are Four Domains in which we create results in our lives and they are: Health & Well

Being, Love and Relationships, Vocation, and Time and Money Freedom.

1.4 TEACHING POINT: FAMILY AND GROWTH

We’re influenced by our actions, attitudes, social circles, connections, and character traits.

What’s visible on the outside tells only a fraction of our story. The main task is to explore and

understand the deeper patterns in our behaviors, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs.

Power Tool #2—Living by Design or Default. Decide Your Dream!

Reflecting on childhood, what was it like? Who made us feel safe growing up?

Family stories are important because memories fade. At our father’s funeral, we decided to

preserve our family history, inspired by the many stories left untold …such as the Clips DVD

made by his grandsons in 2006 with pictures taken from our mother’s 1984 scrapbooks.

As the Willcott family evolved, we gained valuable insights that fostered a legacy of resilience

and accomplishment. The family’s lineage can be traced to John Ralph Willcott of England and

Clara Schanze of Ireland, culminating in the establishment of The Willcott Drug Store and

Pharmacy.

On to our maternal grandparents, Daniel O. Duffin and Bertha Beyer, who owned a farm in

Leavenworth, Kansas. His grandparents had a farm in Kickapoo, Kansas; they had Irish and

German history.

In 2025, I began decreasing time and increasing and doubling what I treasure. Was this achieved by

design or default? Every person has that special gift within, and you want to bring the gift of life,

connection, and community by helping people reach their inner growth goals and achieving

abundance. Why not now, I thought, regardless of past paradigms?

In 2025, I was able to land a good part-time retirement job that allows me to work as an

Administrative Assistant for the Kansas Legislative Session January-April. In April, after

reflecting on my dream, I left that job. Today, I enjoy family life and community with

opportunities to give of time, talent, and treasure. In May, I was hired to work in areas of life that

include recovery history, impact, and growth. This was by design.

Many people go through life doing what they normally do— “rolling with the punches,” “going

with the flow,” “taking life as it comes.” This is called living life by default.

Their lives are directed by the comfortable things they typically do, without much conscious

planning. In fact, most people spend more time organizing a weekend vacation than they invest

in planning the life they’d love to live. They’re missing out on what they want in their life.

On the other hand, successful people create a life “by design.” That means they set a clear

intention for what they’d love and consciously create what they want in life.

1.5 OVERVIEW AND PROMISE: FAMILY ROLES AND REFLECTIONS

Though some considered me the family matriarch—sometimes referred to as the anchor, I did’t

see myself that way.

Power Tool #3—Befriending Fear. Finding your dream!

How to feel even more confident in your ability to achieve those goals

Social Supports, Leisure Time, Life Assessments

Short-term goals helped me to renew strength and build resilience in 2025. Today—while a work-inprogress—

I’m researching and writing a Family Legacy with photos, testimonials, and sharing the

tributes.

I’m actually helping people reach their goals and experience abundance … not just talking the talk

but walking the walk. By expanding with love, abundance, creativity, and success, we inspire

others to do the same. Gratitude is living a life of peace, joy, and love.
